"Transplanted" from Chicago, our family has raised kids, cows, chickens, pigs and vegetables on 40 acres in Cuba, Missouri. One of my favorite spots has always been my garden.  Not only a place to pull weeds and harvest tomatoes, my garden became a place to steal away--even for a few minutes--and give my mama heart a chance to rest...to think...to pray...to breathe.

Now, with even more caretaking responsibilities as our family has grown to include a few precious lives with special needs, growing beautiful things has become even more of a lifeline.  I have come to realize that growing FLOWERS is a whole lot more fun than growing vegetables! So, many of my vegetable beds have been replaced with cut flower beds. The flowers I dry to share with others have become the medium for my art as I arrange bouquets and turn my hard work into something that will brighten the homes of others.

I hope that "yesterday's" bouquet will bring you great joy today!
